Chocolate Pampering

I have been reading lately about the health benefits of chocolate. The more snow we get for Spring the more I want chocolate. Unfortunately the articles I'm reading do not include peanut butter or caramel M & M's. But still there is some benefit to this dessert.

A great recipe to make on a cold, or any day would be the following one of chocolate truffles.

whip 8 oz. cream cheese in mixer until fluffy; slowly mix in 3 cups confectioners' sugar; set a side. In saucepan over low heat, melt 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips. Stir chocolate inato cheese blend; stir in 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Refrigerate 1 hour. Roll dough into 1" balls, then roll each truffle in confectioners' sugar or cocoa. Refrigerate 1 hour, then enjoy.

I did not say this was the healthiest chocolate recipe but mighty delicious. As long as you maintain moderation this is a nice treat.

You can also have a whipped chocolate treatment for your body. Try even portions of cocoa butter and coconut oil and a little unsweetened cocoa powder. This is rich in healthy fats that soften and protect. Store in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks.

A creamy chocolate milk bath is incredibly nourishing for dry, sensitive skin. Combine unsweetened cocoa powder, powdered milk and cornstarch. Pour into the tub and soak away.

Cocoa powder delivers tons of anti-aging antioxidants. Combine unsweetened cocoa powder, coffee grounds and clay. stir in enough water to to make a smooth paste. Massage onto face and neck; relax 15 minutes, rinse well.

Combine unsweetened cocoa powder and even amount of brown and white sugar. Mix in almond oil. Massage scrub over damp skin; rinse well. Refrigerate remaining scrub up to 4 weeks.

At Renew you can get the Wei of Chocolate. It is a mindful peace of chocolate. They are organic, vegan, paleo, gluten-free and no GMOs. When you stop in ask me to take the chocolate test. There are 9 different flavors. They boast it is chocolate for the body and flower remedies for the mind.

If you don't take time for any of the chocolate treatments above, remember to find some way to relax and renew each week. If you have a great remedy for relaxing I would love to hear it. I will post any suggestions on our FB page.

Don't forget to ask to join our Renew, Wildflowers and Rubies Auction Group. You will be part of a group that gets in on deals, auctions and freebies.

Savor your chocolate remedy!
