Xylitol

Most of the time when you hear about a sugar substitute you hear how bad it is for you. Many of them can cause health problems.

It seems like xylitol is different. Their website says “acid attack” causes tooth decay and cavities to begin to form. Xylitol is a natural sweetener derived from the fibrous parts of plants. It does not break down like sugar and can help keep a neutral pH level in the mouth. Xylitol also prevents bacteria from sticking to the teeth."
We are promoting the zollipops and gum in our dental office. Now you shouldn't replace a lollipop for an apple. The only side effects I have read about is that too much xylitol causes diarrhea. It can also be toxic to pets.
We have 5 flavors of Spry gum and a bucket of zollipops. Stop in and try a lollipop. Your teeth will thank you!
