Landscapes

Which landscape do you remember as a child? Mine is the corn as I was raised in Iowa. Doesn't each one stir some emotion within us?

Only since living near Chicago has the city skyline not been as intimidating. But as a child I do remember going to Des Moines and being amazed at the tall buildings. I lived on a farm in central Iowa with the nearest town having 300 residents!

The palm trees remind me of a vacation my husband and I took to the Bahama's. What a wonderful sight. It can represent warm weather and beaches.

The dirt road surrounded by trees is a place I would like to be. No traffic, little noise and nature at it's best. I would be hunting for herbs and flowers.

I like to remember things from my past. It did seem simple and easy. I know people are reminded of things by certain songs, movies or smells.

I want to continue to keep things simple, but too often distractions come. In this time in my life my grandson is the highlight of most of my days. Of course he is the sweetest and cutest thing! I want to introduce him to the simple and easy things in life.

At the same time I wish for all of you a simple and peaceful life.
